The Tri-Beach Cruisers hosted a gathering that we dubbed “Hot Rods and Hamburgers”. The purpose is to gather our clubs together to celebrate the classic cars and trucks we all enjoy.  This event was met with some questionable weather early Saturday morning that cleared as the first classics started rolling in. The day turned out as beautiful and over 65 classics showed up to show off, talk cars, and eat hamburgers, hot dogs, slaw, chip, and beans all prepared by our marvelous cooking crew headed by Gayle, Joie, and Linda with assists by a number of others.

Special thanks to Richard and Gayle Eury who birthed this event last September and again planned and executed a terrific gathering. This is an amazing effort and we all appreciate the hard work they put into the event. Thanks also to Larry Snyder- our DJ and autioneer. Yummies was kind enough to assure the grass was cut, the fire ants demolished, and the cold drinks we all so needed.

We also want to send a big “Thanks” to our fellow area car clubs who all sent some folks to support the event. As a result of the attendees, we were able to raise over $800 for Jerome Munna’s Brunswick Toy Run. The 50/50 was won by a local guy and his son who promtly gave all the proceeds to the Toy Run- and this is what drives us to do these events. This will allow 9 area kids to have something special at Christmas.

As we look forward to the next “Hot Rods and Hamburgers” we are posting some photos from this event:
